Why are Maine Coon kittens priced differently?

Maine Coon kittens may be priced differently because every kitten is evaluated as an individual. Color, pattern, structure, overall type, timing, availability, and the kitten’s individual quality can all affect price. Some colors or patterns may also be harder to produce or have higher demand. We try to keep our pricing clear, but we do not price kittens only by color. We also look at the full kitten, including health, temperament, development, and how well the kitten may fit a future family.

What is included in the kitten price?

Our pet kitten price includes more than the kitten itself. Each pet kitten goes home with age-appropriate FVRCP vaccines, internal and external parasite prevention, microchip and microchip registration fee, spay/neuter when applicable, veterinary wellness records, a written adoption contract, a written health guarantee, 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance coverage, TICA or CFA litter registration eligibility, go-home food or familiar items when available, photo and video updates while the kitten grows, professional kitten photos, and breeder support after pickup.

Is the deposit refundable?

For available kittens, a deposit is used to reserve the kitten and remove that kitten from active availability. For our waitlist, the waitlist fee is applied toward the final kitten price. Because we stop offering that kitten or waitlist spot to other families once a reservation is made, deposits are not refundable after the stated cancellation window if the buyer cancels for personal reasons. We always recommend reading the deposit policy carefully before reserving a kitten.

Do pet kittens come spayed or neutered?

Yes, pet Maine Coon kittens are placed as pets and are spayed or neutered when applicable before going home. This helps protect the kitten, prevents accidental breeding, and keeps pet placements clear and responsible. In some situations, timing may depend on the kitten’s age, size, vet schedule, and travel or pickup plan, but pet kittens are not sold with breeding rights unless that is clearly discussed and written in the contract.

Do you allow home visits?

We are a closed home-based cattery, so we do not allow casual home visits. This is for kitten health, biosecurity, stress control, and family privacy. We know families want to feel comfortable before choosing a kitten, so we provide photos, videos, updates, and video call options when appropriate. Our goal is to be transparent while also keeping the kittens safe and protected.

Do you sell breeding rights?

Pet kitten prices do not include breeding rights. Breeding rights are only considered for established Maine Coon breeders who share a similar breeding philosophy, health testing standards, and long-term responsibility for the breed. We do not place breeding cats casually, and approval is very limited. If breeding rights are ever considered, the terms must be discussed clearly and written into the contract.

What health testing should a Maine Coon breeder do?

A responsible Maine Coon breeder should be able to explain what health testing has been done on their breeding cats, not just show kitten photos. For Maine Coons, DNA testing is important, but it is not enough by itself. Breeding cats should also have heart echocardiograms for HCM screening and hip evaluations for hip dysplasia. When comparing breeders, families should feel comfortable asking what testing was done, when it was done, and whether records are available to review. Are your kittens purebred Maine Coons?

Yes, all of our kittens are purebred Maine Coons. Our breeding cats come from registered Maine Coon lines, and their pedigrees can be traced back to the early foundation Maine Coons that appear in old Maine Coon pedigrees, including ancestor cats recorded from the 1970s. All of our kittens are eligible for both TICA and CFA registration. Registration is important because it provides an official pedigree record, but we also believe a responsible breeder should look beyond paperwork. We consider health testing, structure, temperament, breed type, and cat show experience when choosing cats for our program.
